**Job Description**
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Open-Source Engineer** to join our team. As a leader in the global Open Source community, you will be responsible for coaching and guiding our developer community towards an Open Source collaboration style.
Responsibilities- Coach and guide 50,000 developers across all organizations on the Open Source way of working and related tooling.
- Influence major strategic decisions at Siemens regarding implementation of Open Source culture and tools.
- Enhance, improve, and maintain the code.Siemens.Com ecosystem with respect to tools, features, APIs, LLMs, and documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong cybersecurity mindset and understanding of typical attack vectors. You will also need open-minded, cross-silo thinking, agile skills. A deep knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, and multiple programming languages is essential. DevOps experience (containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible) is a plus. Strong communication skills (teaching, coaching, or technical-writing experience is a plus) are also required.
