The Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and collaborating closely with the IT operations teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our IT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detect and assess security events and incidents across the enterprise
  • Ensure security in software development projects by drawing up threat models, creating security concepts, applying secure development principles, and other methods
  • Plan, configure, and implement network threat detection and response systems
  • Coordinate with the CISO, Head of Development, and Head of Operations to review and triage suspicious events

You will work closely with our threat intelligence resources to maintain awareness of the global threat landscape, assist with containment of threats, and provide assistance to software engineers and architects in the area of security.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical degree from a reputable university in information technology or information security
  • Several years of experience in a comparable role with medium to large solution projects
  • High affinity for secure software delivery
  • Familiarity with technologies and methods such as secure development lifecycle, threat modelling, CI tooling, secure design principles, and web security
  • Hands-on technologist with DevOps and IT architecture skills
  • Deep technical understanding of networking, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, authentication/authorization, and modern security technologies (SIEM, EDR, UEBA, AI/ML)
  • Experience in the financial or trading industry
  • Great communication skills and an outgoing personality comfortable in interdisciplinary teams

Estimated Salary

Ranging from CHF 80,000 to CHF 120,000 per year, depending on experience.
