We're a fast-growing and dynamic tech company with a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration. Our Data Platform Engineer will play a key role in shaping the future of our streaming platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and experience working with containerization, orchestration, and service mesh. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Streaming related Application infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with other services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Designing and implementing a future-proof data streaming platform in Riskified, providing real-time and near real-time scalable and resilient platform for our growing stack of products and microservices.
  • Administrate, provision, and monitor our streaming platform.
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Streaming related Application infrastructure.
  • Guiding development teams and mentoring other team members.
  • Using creativity to resolve complex and high-scale data-related issues.
  • Researching new technologies, from POC level to production-grade systems.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Big Data Infrastructure engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka / Apache Pulsar / Spark Streaming / Kstream / Apache Flink.
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects.
