Job Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in business development, with a proven track record of success in the Defence or Space markets. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will need to have a deep understanding of mission-critical systems and software development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Defence and Space markets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and leads.
- Develop and implement business development plans and market propositions.
- Network and establish relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive growth and revenue.
Requirements
This role requires:
- A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in business development of customized services and solutions.
- Knowledge and experience in the Defence or Space markets.
- Understanding or interest in mission-critical systems and software development.
- Strategic account management experience, with an ability to understand and develop deals from a financial perspective.
- Contract management experience and negotiating skills.
- Consultative style, keen and comfortable in developing relationships and networking independently, whilst also able to help peers in their team.
