We are looking for a passionate Backend Developer to join our team at Ubiwhere in Aveiro. As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in the design and development of software solutions for Smart Cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and documentation of software architectures for web applications
- Setup and integration of software components with VMs and Docker
- Design and implementation of REST APIs using Python and Django
- Design and modeling of databases and data models in web frameworks like Django
- Participation in technical meetings in English, both in person and remotely
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science or a similar field and experience in developing solutions that take into account availability and scalability. You should also be familiar with common server-side technologies and frameworks based on Python or Java.
In addition, you should have knowledge about client-server protocols such as REST, OAuth, and Websockets, as well as experience with version control systems like Git. You should also be familiar with database management systems like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture and Docker is a plus, and you should have critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work in fast-paced environments and have good writing skills in English.
