About the Medical Informatics Director Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Informatics Director to lead our efforts in developing and implementing standardized models for data sharing and research. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with technical and clinical teams to ensure high-quality data harmonization, supporting real-world data research and healthcare innovation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement standardized models for data sharing and research, ensuring seamless collaboration across multiple entities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support product development, ensuring scalable and efficient data processing.
  • Manage ETL processes for integrating new data partners, optimizing data quality and integrity.
  • Partner with data providers to understand data processing and sharing practices, identifying valuable data elements for the network.
  • Review and update policies governing codification standards and interoperability in healthcare, ensuring seamless data exchange.
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of federated models for data sharing and research, promoting secure and efficient collaboration.
  • Apply clinical expertise to enhance data structuring, coding, and standardization efforts, driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote the adoption and effective use of OMOP-based data models, fostering a culture of data excellence.

Requirements:

- Background in healthcare, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, biomedical informatics, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare data, electronic health records (EHRs), claims databases, and clinical registries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and data quality.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience working with technical teams on data structuring and standardization.
- Familiarity with OMOP CDM and standard healthcare terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD).
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
- Prior work in clinical research, epidemiology, or health outcomes research.
