Job Description
We are seeking a well-qualified and talented Head of Mathematics and Mathematics Teacher to join our team in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting mathematics, overseeing curriculum transition, fostering collaboration, leading department meetings, developing curriculum, implementing assessments, analyzing data, participating in school development, supporting reporting to parents, and monitoring student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote mathematics by engaging students and staff in initiatives highlighting its importance and relevance
- Smooth curriculum transition by overseeing the transition from Cambridge Primary to Lower Secondary in the mathematics curriculum and teaching methods
- Foster collaboration by facilitating opportunities for teachers to share best practices and collaborate to improve student learning
- Lead department meetings to focus on enhancing student achievement in mathematics
- Develop curriculum by overseeing the creation of a progressive and challenging mathematics curriculum with clear transition points
- Implement assessments by maintaining high-quality assessment and feedback strategies to improve teaching and learning quality
- Analyze data by using data and assessment information to improve learning outcomes for all students
- Participate in school development by influencing and developing teaching and learning policies and practices across the school
- Support reporting to parents by assisting teachers in providing timely and effective reports on student progress
- Monitor student achievement by tracking student progress and implementing interventions to raise achievement levels for all students

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in an appropriate subject, excellent subject knowledge, a vision for outstanding teaching and learning, excellent organizational skills, an adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback, a positive attitude and approach to change and development, genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare, and confidence with the use of ICT in teaching.
