**About the Role**
As a Backend Developer at Volkswagen Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, resilient, and secure microservices. You will work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment of our digital products to the AWS cloud.
- Design and develop scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using Java/Kotlin and Spring.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure efficient deployment to the AWS cloud.
- Apply SOLID principles and Clean Code recommendations to guarantee high-quality code.
- Work closely with the Product/Business Owner and Product Designer to define feasible solutions.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable job expertise with comparable skills.
- Knowledge of microservice and event-driven architecture principles and best practices.
- Experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring, JUnit, and relational and non-relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Skills within agile product development and relevant professional experience in the development of complex solutions within IT.
**Nice to Have**
Experience working with frontend frameworks (React) and AWS services (ECS, RDS, CloudFormation, CodePipeline).
