Salary

Job Description

\Component As a Global Procurement Manager at Canonical, you will cover multiple corporate entities across several countries, preferably in EMEA time zones. Your primary focus will be on procurement, encompassing travel, hotels, convention/meeting space, advertising, hardware, software, and SAAS, which comprise the majority of non-staff expenditure.\Component With our unique business structure and commitment to in-person collaboration, you will analyze supply chain carbon footprints and develop strategies to ensure procurement aligns with our broader climate goals.\Component You will drive effective global sourcing and supply chain management for complex operational purchases, review expense and credit card policies, participate in annual financial planning and budget processes, prepare reports, and lead technology implementations, including a travel management system.\Component

Required Skills and Qualifications

\Component To succeed in this role, you will need exceptional academic credentials, an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, MCIPS certification or active progress towards it, and knowledge of best practice procurement processes and procedures, ideally in a public company environment.\Component Additionally, you should possess commercial acumen, negotiation skills, excellent written and spoken English, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills, along with curiosity, flexibility, accountability, thoughtfulness, self-motivation, and result-oriented work ethic.\Component A track record of going above-and-beyond expectations and leadership ability are highly valued, as is familiarity with the global travel industry, technology procurement, advertising, and marketing procurement.\Component Experience with Business Intelligence reporting, CRM, and ERP systems, as well as an MBA or equivalent combination of professional experience and certifications, are also desirable.\Component
