Purser's Assistant Job Description
The successful candidate will assist the Chief Purser in matters regarding ship clearance and hotel administration tasks. Key responsibilities include assisting the Chief Purser with crew sign-on/sign-off paperwork, ensuring crew members possess all required documents, collecting and organizing necessary documents, and reporting crew changes to shore side.

Administrative Tasks
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for requesting, comparing, and booking flight tickets for disembarking crew, keeping crew informed about port shore leave regulations, cash advance schedules, and other relevant information, checking clearance requirements for each port, and participating in Crew Welfare Meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar position, preferably on a cruise ship. The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English, have Basic German skills, and possess good administrative skills, including Microsoft Office knowledge.

Familiarity with Ship's Emergency plans, Safe Working Practices, and participation in Guest/Crew Lifeboat Drills are essential. Regular communication with the Chief Purser and encouragement of teamwork are also key responsibilities.
