About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in London or Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience in financial services and insurance, particularly in Solvency II and IFRS reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Solvency II regulatory guidance.
- Maintain and enhance the financial control environment, focusing on group reporting activities and the broader financial control framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams and auditors.
- Streamline, automate, and enhance finance processes by leveraging technology, personal expertise, and best practices.
- Support the development of a continuous improvement culture, utilizing external insights and best practices.
- Actively support finance and group-wide projects relevant to the role.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence within the financial control team.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Strong technical and financial reporting knowledge in the financial services sector, preferably in insurance.
- Ability to analyze results and constructively challenge them.
- Hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with controls and problem-solving skills.
- A pragmatic decision-maker with a 'can-do' attitude.
Working Arrangements:
This is a hybrid working position, with a mix of office and remote work. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
