We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Engineering team as a Safety & RAM Manager. The successful candidate will lead the safety and reliability efforts in our projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Safety & RAM Team in Portugal, reporting to the Head of Engineering.
  • Plan and execute Project Assurance tasks, aligning with milestones and identifying deviations for resolution.
  • Create Safety & RAM Plans and develop RAM Reports.
  • Conduct Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA), and Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA).
  • Maintain hazard logs and safety requirements.
  • Ensure complete traceability of project requirements at the system/subsystem level.
  • Optimize system architecture and design in collaboration with systems engineering regarding RAMS.
  • Plan, conduct, and document validation for assigned projects.
  • Create Validation Plans according to CENELEC standards and applicable safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Signaling Engineer, preferably in Safety.
  • University degree in Electronics Engineering or similar.
  • Team leadership skills and previous experience in a management role are desirable.
  • Application of RAMS requirements during project development.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., railway CENELEC EN50126/8/9, IEC)
  • Experience in railway safety-related systems and technology (e.g., control, command, and signaling).
  • Requirements management (e.g., DOORS/Polarion).
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional, multinational, and diverse environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and data-driven approach.
  • Advanced level of English, Portuguese, and Spanish language skills are required.
