About the Job
We are seeking an expert in risk analysis and quantitative modeling to join our client's team. The successful candidate will participate in methodology projects, gathering and documenting requirements. Key responsibilities include investigating, analyzing, and designing risk methods that accurately capture risks. Additionally, they will design, develop, and test code changes required to implement risk methods in risk systems, ensuring all methodologies, tools, processes, and procedures are thoroughly documented. This individual will contribute to quality assurance processes surrounding risk measurement, including back-testing and VaR Adequacy (P&L Explain). They will also support regulatory interactions, participating in industry working groups and Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS), and ensure a robust control framework for timely, reliable, and consistent backtesting.
Profile and Skills to Succeed
To excel in this position, candidates should hold a Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Quantitative Finance. Market Risk and/or Counterparty Risk Modeling capacity is essential, along with expertise in Derivatives, their risk drivers, and models used to price them. At least one of the following areas is required: Credit / Repo / IR/FX / Equity / Commodities. Design and implementation of quantitative models using C# and/or C++ are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, rigor, ability to collaborate, analytical skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
