Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data-centric applications and systems. As a key member of our team, you will guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, collaborate closely with stakeholders to define data strategies and roadmaps, and ensure their successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data-centric applications and systems
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define data strategies and roadmaps
  • Support the team by implementing complex functions
  • Architect robust, scalable, and high-performance data solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Provide expert-level guidance on data analysis, modeling, and interpretation, driving strategic decision-making processes within the organization

You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of advanced ETL/ELT processes, emphasizing data quality, reliability, and efficiency improvements, as well as driving innovation in data infrastructure and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • 8 or more years of experience in progressively responsible data engineering roles, showcasing leadership and mentorship qualities
  • Extensive proficiency in data warehouse design, implementation, and optimization, demonstrating expertise in complex problem-solving and architectural decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages used for data engineering, showcasing versatility and adaptability to varied tech stacks (Python and SQL is mandatory)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with multiple cloud platforms and services in AWS, GCP, or Azure, demonstrating expertise in leveraging various cloud services
  • Extensive knowledge operating systems (Linux preferable)
  • Deep understanding and proven expertise in data modeling, including experience in designing and implementing complex distributed systems
  • Extensive experience with big data technologies, having led or contributed significantly to large-scale data processing projects
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in data governance, metadata management, and establishing best practices for ensuring data quality and compliance
  • Outstanding communication skills with a proven ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of influencing decision-making processes and driving organizational data strategies
  • Familiarity with Standard AI/ML processes & Operations is greatly valued

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
