Role Overview

We are a leading manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses, committed to developing intellectual property (IP) strategies that align with our business objectives in new fields of consumer technology and medically regulated global settings.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, legal, marketing, business development, and internal IP teams to enable and protect innovations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to develop a comprehensive IP strategy and build-up/manage an IP portfolio.
  • Formulate and implement robust IP strategies that support new business goals in technology and medically regulated fields.

Your Profile

We seek a highly skilled patent attorney/attorney-at-law with experience in representing clients in patent litigation matters and significant experience in IP strategy, IP portfolio management, or related fields, preferably in high-tech or medically regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute successful IP strategies and manage diverse IP portfolios in emerging business areas.
  • Conduct prior art searches, freedom-to-operate, and invalidity searches; draft notifications of invention, trademarks, and copyrights matters.
  • Identify potential IP risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure freedom from third-party rights.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in patent law or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IP laws and regulations, including patent, trademark, and copyright law in an international setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
