Senior Valuations Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Valuations Senior Associate to join our team at LGG Advisors, a fast-growing company with a presence in Porto, Lisbon, London, and Madrid. As a member of our Valuations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in understanding the value of their business, securities, intellectual property, intangibles, and other assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform valuations for M&A transactions, tax, financial reporting, portfolio valuation, fairness opinions, restructuring, and disputes.
  • Have an active role within M&A and CF-related tasks, as our Valuations team sits within the Corporate Finance department.
  • Direct support to Project Manager and Partner on ad hoc client-related projects.
  • Closely coordinate the work of a team of Analysts/Senior Analysts.
  • Provide ongoing training to Analysts/Senior Analysts.
  • Daily interaction and troubleshooting with high-profile clients (primary liaison).
  • Handle day-to-day correspondence with clients and their representatives.
  • Generate client-facing presentations, reports, data analysis, financial modeling, and valuations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the valuations department of big-4 or other consulting firms is preferred.
  • Understanding of valuation requirements and methodologies for different purposes, including a mix of experience in valuations for financial reporting, tax, and portfolio valuation.
  • Strong financial modeling skills required.
  • Fluency in English at a proficient level.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are an advantage.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (Finance, Business, Economics, or similar).
  • Sound knowledge of recognized valuation guidelines, such as IPEV guidelines or IVS.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (advanced level).
  • Interest in the financial services industry and good awareness of the industry.
  • Advanced technical and analytical skills in Corporate Finance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work and think clearly under pressure.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible working approach.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
