Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 2D Game Animator to join our team at Table Knight Games. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for bringing our game's characters, objects, and environments to life through dynamic movement and engaging animations.
About the Role
This is a full-time remote position that requires a high degree of autonomy and flexibility. You will work closely with our art director, designers, and programmers to ensure that your animations align with the game's visual style and storytelling. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Animating characters, objects, and environments using Unity's animation tools.
- Collaborating with the art team to create frame-by-frame animations as sprite sheets.
- Adjusting and refining animations based on playtesting feedback and technical requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a 2D Animator, particularly in gaming.
- A strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and appeal.
- Excellent communication skills for working with artists, designers, and programmers.
- The ability to adapt animations for different screen sizes and hardware requirements.
- English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus Points
If you have experience with:
- Unity's animation tools, including Animator, Timeline systems, and sprite animations.
- Particle effects and visual effects in Unity.
- Basic shader work in Unity.
- Animation state management within Unity.
