Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IP Network Engineer to join our team at Vodafone, with expertise in system integration and network management. As an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and continuity of service on our IP Network Elements.
Responsibilities
- Perform second-level troubleshooting to resolve critical network issues promptly and efficiently.
- Configure data networks, software rollout, and integrate activities with Planning, Design, and Delivery teams.
- Ensure timely implementation of preventive software correction packages to resolve network problems.
- Participate in acceptance and testing of new nodes, systems, features, and services.
- Implement software and hardware system upgrades and updates.
- Contribute technical input for automation and self-healing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Cisco Certification CCNA is required.
- Expert knowledge and experience in IP/MPLS networks (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in installing and configuring network components, including routers, switches, MBH, BNG, etc., with a focus on BNGs and Multicast.
- Automation and scripting tools development experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, including Python, software frameworks, REST API, etc.
- Project Management skills are essential.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is €80,000 - €100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
