Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Braga. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, focusing on skills development, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Test Automation: Oversee the design and implementation of automated test frameworks, driving automation testing initiatives to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, product management, and project management teams to align on release schedules, define test requirements, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Defect Management: Implement processes for effective defect tracking, reporting, and resolution, ensuring transparency in defect reporting and tracking for stakeholders.
  • Quality Metrics: Define and monitor quality metrics, such as test coverage, defect densities, and open defect counts, to measure progress and drive improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate, recommend, and implement QA tools, processes, and best practices to enhance the team's efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
  • Proven experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
