Job Summary

Alter Solutions Group is seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java and other high-level languages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain distributed systems to automate onboarding and user management in an internal service with 10k+ monthly active users
  • Administer CI/CD pipelines that build, test, and deploy services
  • Design and implement user-consumed APIs
  • Contribute to existing codebases within our suite of compliance tools to add new functionality
  • Triage incidents and provide 2nd/3rd level support to users

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications in Java on top of SpringBoot
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more scripting languages, preferably Python
  • Experience engineering web applications in Go
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI
  • Strong background in API design and testing, experience with OpenAPI 3.x a plus
  • Strong understanding of git version control, familiarity with Git Flow branching model a plus
  • Ability to collaborate in a team following Kanban agile methodology
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
