The Role: As an Electrical Design Engineer at Glanua, you will be part of a collaborative one-team culture while contributing to your own skills and experience producing required outputs for a portfolio of projects under the guidance of the Senior / Lead Electrical Design Engineer.
Main Responsibilities- Reporting to the Senior / Lead Electrical Design Engineer
- Part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for producing design deliverables for water, wastewater and process treatment plants
- Assisting in all aspects of Electrical design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing
Liaising with subcontractors / suppliers. Work as part of a team to support project delivery function, embracing the ethos of a 'one team' culture. Ensure Design, Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to. Ensure Glanua's & the Clients' Technical Requirements are met throughout the design. Update Design Change Control.
Main Duties- Production of procurement specifications for Electrical equipment; cable calculations and production of detailed design construction drawings
- Project managing third party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teams
- Liaising between Mechanical and Civil & Structural Designers
Be involved in the growth and development of the company including expansion of the direct delivery model. Show an eagerness to learn and progress in your own career as well as the mentoring and training of more junior staff.
