About the Role:

Inspired Education Group seeks a talented and dedicated teacher of Physics to join our team of educators at PaRK International School, a top-tier international school based in Lisbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP Physics curricula, ensuring student progress and understanding of key concepts. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Physics or a related field, a valid teaching qualification, and proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and parents, encouraging student engagement and enthusiasm for learning Physics.

  • Deliver effective instruction, plan and deliver high-quality lessons, and ensure student progress and understanding of key concepts.

  • Provide individual learning support, target individual learning needs, and differentiate instruction to help all students achieve their potential.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, fostering a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.

  • Utilize assessments to monitor student progress, inform teaching adjustments, and ensure students meet academic targets.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Physics curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching practices and resources to enhance student learning experiences.

  • Promote the well-being of students, address academic and personal challenges, and collaborate with the school's well-being team.

  • Support the school's extracurricular programs, contribute to whole-school learning initiatives, and engage in professional development to stay current with best teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Physics or a related field, with a valid teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with expertise in GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.

  • Strong classroom management skills, ensuring high standards of behaviour and fostering a safe, respectful learning environment.

  • Ability to differentiate instruction, meeting the individual learning needs of students with varying abilities.

  • Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated with current teaching practices and curriculum developments.

  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team and contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives.

  • Passion for extracurricular activities, participating in trips and projects that support student engagement and enrichment beyond the classroom.

  • A proactive approach to pastoral care, ensuring student well-being and addressing personal or academic challenges.
