The Role:
You will be responsible for proposing, analyzing, and defining requirements for new and existing services and systems related to voice systems under the responsibility of the functional area. You will prepare, design, test, and provide new solutions or product changes of the already existing portfolio. You will define and support the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area. You will participate and support other functional areas in cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with other Networks teams in defining and managing projects for delivery of new solutions
- Project delivery, network design, integration, and migration strategy definition
- Collaboration with other relevant departments
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery
- Design of new consumer and corporate telecom solutions
- Creation of technical documentation (HLD's, LLD's, WO's, etc.) and maintenance over the lifecycle of the solutions
- Performing implementations in live environments
- Understanding of End-to-End system testing requirements
- Follow-up and defining Quality and Performance indicators
- Capacity and Performance Analysis, Reporting, and Improvement Solution Definition
- Service & Resource configuration definition and implementation on requested systems
- Working on complex solutions that influence the design of current products and addressing design issues for future products or technologies
- Closing relationship with external partners like carriers and service providers
- Elaborating and managing change requests to current partners to meet network necessities
- Controlling the network elements roadmap, being responsible for necessary software/hardware upgrades during the components lifecycle
- Generating and implementing process improvements, including cross-team processes
- Sustaining successful partnerships with other departments and teams
Requirements:
We're looking for a highly skilled Telecommunications Network Engineer with a degree in Telecom Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience. You should have proven experience in implementing live solutions on mobile telecom (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS) networks, design, capacity management, engineering, and architecture. Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications is essential.
Experience in designing, testing, and operating NGN-based networks, including MSS/MGW, HLR/HSS, SBC, defining, establishing, and maintaining voice interconnects, TDM, and SIP/RTP-based understanding about IMS architecture, VoIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and QoS is required. Experience with SMS service configuration and routing, IMS Architecture with understanding of IMS nodes including P/S/I-CSCF, Application Servers, mobile services charging (offline, online), OCS, Ro, Ro+, Ga, and Bp interfaces, Diameter/SCTP networks and protocol, Signaling Gateways, and protocols including SS7, SIGTRAN, MAP, and CAMEL is desired.
Experience with protocol analyzer tools like Wireshark, Astelia, and ability to use them to troubleshoot network errors/problems for mentioned protocols, ETSI NFV architecture and solutions, MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape is an advantage.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 depending on qualifications and location.
