About the Role: As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team, being the first person to see the localized game in its entirety – translated text, images, and user interface collectively. You'll experience the project in the way it will be consumed by end-users. Working in a multilingual project team, you will ensure the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global project team.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
- Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Requirements: Fluency in Hebrew and English. No experience required. We'll provide the training and support needed to perform the testing. Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for. Computer literacy – particularly with Excel. Robust Internet research skills. Excellent attention to detail. Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams. You must be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal. If you are located outside Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied.
What We Offer: €7.95 per hour. Work equipment provided by PTW (to be shipped to Freelancer's home address). Working Conditions: Remote. Project-based. Work flexibly between 8:00 to 17:00 Portugal Time, Mondays through Fridays. Work at least 4 hours a day (if there's a project). We are also open to offering full-time positions to multilingual candidates (Hebrew and other languages). This role requires onsite work at our studio in Braga, Portugal and you must have the right to work in Portugal.
