Job Description

This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in database administration and management, particularly with Oracle databases version 19 and later. Key responsibilities include:

  • Relational database software installation and configuration
  • User access management and provisioning
  • Database backups and data recovery/restore
  • Performance validation and optimization suggestions
  • Security measure implementation and vulnerability patching
  • Issue management, lock resolution, and data dump analysis

A good understanding of SQL, MySQL databases, Linux Red Hat, Oracle Linux operating systems, and Oracle Virtualization Server is essential. Knowledge of AWS cloud data technologies and data architectures is also valuable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Oracle database administration
  • Relevant academic background and certifications
  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and security best practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
