At OutSystems, as a Backend Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for developing the next generation of capabilities for one of our platform components.
This role is ideal for problem solvers who are inquisitive by nature and driven by curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:- Designing and developing solutions with the team, following development processes such as TDD, BDD, and code reviews;
- Omitting the performance of the platform component you'll work on;
- Producing and testing code in short cycles with a high degree of automation;
- Gathering feedback from end-users and adapting your solutions;
- Focusing on developing maintainable solutions that scale to thousands of users;
- Last-line troubleshooting of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support rotation;
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; if you do not have one but you are really good (and can show it), we still want to hear from you;
- 2+ years of software development experience;
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and Object-Oriented Design;
- Passion to analyze and design elegant solutions for high-tech problems;
- Great troubleshooting skills;
- Availability to be part of the 24x7 on-call rotation;
- Passionate about learning and helping others find their way in complex subjects;
- Drive to innovate and bring development best practices into your team;
- Good communication skills and fluency in English;
- Continuous delivery and testing techniques (valued);
- Excellent coding skills in C#;
- Knowledge in .Net Core is a plus;
- Knowledge of Relational & non-relational databases is a plus;
- Knowledge of cloud systems (e.g. AWS, Azure) is a plus;
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around €50,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
