About This Opportunity

Welcome to the Sourcing & Technology Governance team in Nordea Asset Management. We add value by ensuring regulatory compliance and operational business support. Our team ensures clear and transparent accountability and responsibility for our IT systems, that the quality of IT processes and IT services continuously meet the needs and requirements of our key stakeholders, including Business, Customers, and Regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously develop and maintain Nordea Asset Management's IT governance framework and operating model to ensure resilience and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders to ensure our IT applications, IT processes, and third-parties adhere to relevant policy requirements, standards, and controls.
  • Assist and advise Nordea Asset Management stakeholders on IT governance matters, such as practical implementation of IT governance policies and controls, training, and awareness about Nordea Asset Management's IT governance framework.
  • Coordinate and follow up with Business and Technology teams on timely and accurate execution of application management tasks, such as application registration in central IT asset register, sound application lifecycle management (from sourcing to decommissioning).
  • Advisory and Business Support: Act as ambassador and promote efficient, accurate, and compliant IT operations and IT management in Nordea Asset Management; Act as coordinator, supervise, or facilitate larger IT governance initiatives across Nordea Asset Management organisation (e.g., implementation of a new standard operating procedure).

Requirements

  • Innovative, interested in IT framework and modern IT service management.
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively across the value chain and with multiple organisational stakeholders and partners (e.g., Application Owners) in communicating, translating, and operationalizing complex IT governance matters.
  • Pragmatic and compromise-seeking and able to handle complex situations.
  • Personal attitude and motivation for achieving results combined with an ability to plan your own and others' work, including identify, define, and solve IT governance matters to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Solid analytical skills and a structured and methodical approach to tasks.
  • Able to work self-motivated and as an enthusiastic team member and enjoy a changing and high-paced work environment.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Your Experience and Background

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience working with IT service management, application management, IT security, risk management, and ensuring governance around these areas.
  • Familiar with operational implementation of international information security standards, such as ISO 27001, COBIT, or NIST.
  • Familiar with international standards and best practice frameworks within IT governance, such as ISO 35800 or similar and operational implementation of these.
  • Knowledge of IT-, security-, and operational risk regulation and frameworks.
  • Analytical competence to assess business and technical needs for project management.
  • Good business understanding and knowledge of investment management or asset management business domain (or a similar field).
  • Good understanding of the general regulatory and governance framework applicable to the financial sector.
