Their primary responsibility is to carry out maintenance and repair work on electrical or mechanical installations and equipment, such as production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical installations, transport systems, buildings, facilities, and constructions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and prevent malfunctions
- Carrying out corrective maintenance activities to restore equipment to working order
- Troubleshooting malfunctions and defects in equipment, machinery, and measuring and control systems
- Assessing the nature and extent of problems and determining the best course of action for repair
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and reporting any issues to superiors
Working Environment:
The Maintenance Technician operates within a production/technical department, focusing on the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. They may be required to work in various technical disciplines, including construction, mechanical, rotating, and electrical. Depending on the size of the facility, the number of Maintenance Technicians may vary in technical disciplines and expertise levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair work
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and their applications
