About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Lease Accounting Specialist to join our team in Lisbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the IFRS 16 operating model, collaborating with various departments to generate accounting entries for all Airbus Group entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the IFRS 16 operating model: collaborate with contract owners (Real Estate, General Procurement, Finance, HR functions) to generate accounting entries for all Airbus Group legal entities.
- Collect and enter data into the lease accounting software, communicating results to legal entities.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Norms and Standards department to build the IFRS 16 operating model.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth process execution.
- Serve as the primary user of the lease administration tool (NLA).
- Identify defects and communicate them to the Administrator.
- Analyze lease contracts from an IFRS 16 perspective.
- Evaluate whether analysis are accurately reflected in the lease accounting software.
- Maintain a database to track global data and generate monthly reports.
- Calculate contract rates for new contracts and adjust existing ones based on guidelines.
- Deliver timely financial restatements to local accountants.
- Create a monthly summary report highlighting financial impacts.
- Assist controlling in constructing and reviewing budgets for IFRS 16 impacts.
- Improve the lease accounting software as a key-user.
- Provide necessary information for external/internal audits.
Requirements - Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- University degree in Accounting / Finance.
- Experience in finance/accounting/audit with a minimum of 3-5 years.
- Familiarity with IFRS, with experience in IFRS 16 being an asset.
- Ability to streamline processes for increased efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Advanced English proficiency for daily interactions with native speakers.
