Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Data & BI Specialist - Tableau to join our team in Porto or Lisbon. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for designing and developing interactive data visualizations using Tableau. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Visualization:
    • Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing dashboards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Data Management:
    • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability.
    • Work with large datasets, perform data cleansing, and optimize data queries for performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet their objectives.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on how to effectively use Tableau dashboards.
  • Maintenance and Support:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Tableau dashboards and reports.
    • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of existing dashboards.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of all dashboards, reports, and data sources.
    • Keep up to date with the latest Tableau features and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience as a Tableau Developer. In addition, the following skills and qualifications are necessary:
  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python (Pandas).
  • Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) is a plus.
