Job Title: Commodity Buyer
Job Summary:
Enabling a software-defined, electrified future. We are seeking a skilled Commodity Buyer to join our global category purchasing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for strategy and sourcing of display and optical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Visteon towards our suppliers and act as escalation point for supplier issues.
- Drive supplier performance towards KPI targets, with a major KPI being cost performance.
- Use relevant technical requirements and work with key suppliers to find optimum trade-offs for lowest total cost solution.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies to deliver maximum competitive advantage.
- Benchmarking, rationalization, development, and management of critical and strategic suppliers.
- Supplier evaluation and selection, and relationship management.
- Support new business pursuits and maintain a database of key supplier technology capabilities.
- Execute best-in-class sourcing process to secure sourcing nomination of optimal total cost solution to support Visteon programs.
Requirements:
- University Degree, Business Management or similar preferred.
- 2.5 years in responsible roles within an international business environment and procurement/purchasing lead experience.
- Proven knowledge of category strategies.
- Value Chain analysis.
- Effective presentation skills and Strong communication skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and experience in multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
- English fluent, second foreign language skills a plus.
