At Odds Scanner Group, we are looking for a talented Software Development Team Lead to join our dynamic tech team in Lisbon.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to modernize our platform while ensuring seamless business operations. As part of the leadership team, you will oversee the modernization of backend systems and lead the development team in designing scalable solutions using modern frameworks and AI technologies.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing large-scale MariaDB databases for enhanced performance and maintainability
  • Mentoring junior developers through code reviews and pair programming
  • Defining and implementing engineering best practices, including testing, version control and coding standards

We are seeking a candidate with at least 5 years of experience working in software development, 2 years of experience mentoring junior developers, and a track record of successful system transformations. Fluency in English is required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with PHP and Python frameworks, as well as implementing AI/ML would be nice to have
