Delivery Control Specialist

At RAY.BBDM, we are currently managing a search process for a Delivery Control & Improvement Accountant Manager to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a leading multinational company, SBM Offshore focuses on designing, supplying, installing, operating, and maintaining Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, which are crucial to the offshore energy industries.

The Delivery Control & Improvement Accountant Manager will be part of the Corporate & Business Solutions Center of SBM Offshore, with a global scope of Corporate and Finance activities. This role involves ensuring a high level of control in the delivery of financial information prepared by the Close & Accounting teams, including quarterly balance sheet analysis for Group consolidation purposes and individual financial statements with notes for statutory accounts purposes.

The ideal candidate will have relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related areas, with a minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in an audit or accounting firm, followed by experience in an international group. Solid accounting and IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 37, are essential. Additionally, consolidation knowledge, agility with tools (ERP and Excel), well-developed stakeholder management skills, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills in English are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of control in the delivery of financial information prepared by the Close & Accounting teams.
  • Investigate and deep dive on potential accounting issues or gaps and propose corrective measures and new controls.
  • Take responsibility for immediate actions that may be needed.
  • Liaise with various teams to ensure the reliability and supporting backup of balance sheet balances.
  • Support and actively contribute to the analysis of new significant operations and transactions.
  • Implement the closing calendar task tool project in close relation with the Innovation team.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Innovation teams to streamline, automate, and optimize processes and systems.
  • Ensure and regularly update a proper planning and prioritization of continuous improvement actions.
  • Manage and coordinate various improvement processes in the accounting and reporting departments.
  • Identify and propose new solutions to enhance and standardize processes.
  • Actively contribute to the new ERP implementation.

Requirements:

  • Relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related areas.
