Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and improve the Autodoc Pro product, focusing on migrating from a PHP monolith to a new microservice architecture.
  2. Evolving and refining the existing codebase in PHP.
  3. Designing and implementing microservices using Java, RabbitMQ/Kafka, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
  4. Ensuring test-driven development and automation testing practices.
  5. Implementing service monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation strategies using New Relic and Grafana.
  6. Collaborating with Senior Engineers from other teams to align technical decisions.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a PHP Software Engineer.
  2. Familiarity with MySQL, Postgres, and handling large data volumes.
  3. Experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale distributed applications using RabbitMQ/Kafka.
  4. Knowledge of microservices and cloud architectures including Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  5. Familiarity with architecture/design methods and patterns, data and API specifications, quality assurance, and testing methods (SOLID, OOP).
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a team environment.
