Job Description:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for translating business requirements into solutions in Hydro's strategic MES system.

This position involves implementation projects and operational activities related to Hydro's strategic MES system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into solutions in Hydro's strategic MES system.
  • Implementation projects and operational activities related to Hydro's strategic MES system.
  • Ensure that all solutions fit and are aligned with Hydro's overall strategic landscape covering ERP, Quality, maintenance, and process control.
  • Work closely with internal customers (from Managing Director to operator), other teams in GBS and 3rd party vendors where needed.
  • Maintain solutions that adhere to global (IT) standards and principles.
  • Develop template solutions that are good-for-all and limit deviations.
  • Review functional designs for software developments made by other solution architects or functional specialists.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of the various needs and expectations from the MES user community. Provide good process knowledge to support and advise the implementation & operational support team(s) in analysis, prioritization, and resolution of MES issues.
  • Represent the strategic MES system in Hydro's implementation program and projects, especially during the so-called discovery phase where a GAP analysis is done between current and new strategic systems.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years working experience with MES system(s) (Hydra from MPDV preferred) in a hands-on environment
  • Experience with MES implementations
  • Experience in hands-on project activities (or operational support) of MES systems
  • Expert level understanding of MES systems, modules, and underlying architecture design.
  • Full lifecycle MES experience in manufacturing environment with specific understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
  • Expert in-depth understanding of business functions. Specific knowledge of at least one of the following modules: Manufacturing (shopfloor) and/or MES/ERP integrations
  • College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent)
  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Well organized and capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
