Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator Lead to manage and administer systems and platforms, both on-premises and cloud-based. The ideal candidate will maintain and troubleshoot application servers, provide technical expertise, and lead the technical implementation of changes and monitoring solutions. As a single point of contact for the area, you will ensure clear communication with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer systems and platforms, both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot application servers (Tomcat, Apache, NGINX, etc.).
  • Provide technical expertise to support Application, Development, and Product Owners.
  • Lead and coordinate the technical implementation of changes and monitoring solutions.
  • Act as a single point of contact (Dispatcher) for the area, ensuring clear communication with various teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, including scripting, hardening, and tuning.
  • Expertise in maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting application environments (e.g., MySQL, NGINX, HAProxy).
  • Deep knowledge of systems and applications performance monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals and container-based infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (IaaS/Kubernetes) and tools for operational automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and ITIL processes.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English (B1).
  • Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either Portuguese/European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card - mandatory requirement.
  • Availability for 24/7 interventions and urgent responses.
