Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Plant & Customer Quality Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal. As a member of our quality team, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to ensure the quality of our products and meet customer expectations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in quality assurance, providing guidance and support to quality technicians, auditors, and inspectors.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues, ensuring timely escalation to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability across the organization.
  • Communicate with external quality assurance officers and customers during on-site inspections, promoting a positive image of our company.
  • Manage costs associated with quality assurance, optimizing resources to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Engineering.
  • At least two years of experience in a quality-related role.
  • Proven expertise in statistical analysis and process improvement techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven approach, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese languages.
