As a Senior Lean Product Development Strategist at BorgWarner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's lean product development framework forward.

 

Job Summary

BorgWarner is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Lean Product and Process Development (LPPD) initiatives. As a Senior Lean Product Development Strategist, you will be responsible for architecting and leading LPPD workshops, facilitating requirements gathering activities, risk assessment workshops, rapid learning cycles, 3P workshops, FMEA workshops, and VAVE activities. You will also mentor trainee facilitators, optimize current 3P workshop methods and processes, and work with other lean organizations and academia to benchmark the latest LPPD methods.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong background in lean product development, process improvement, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results-driven initiatives, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A graduate degree, such as an MBA, is highly desirable. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, you will possess a deep understanding of DFSS principles, failure mode analysis, and FMEA global standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead LPPD workshops to drive business outcomes
  • Facilitate requirements gathering activities, risk assessment workshops, rapid learning cycles, 3P workshops, FMEA workshops, and VAVE activities
  • Mentor trainee facilitators to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Optimize current 3P workshop methods and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with other lean organizations and academia to benchmark the latest LPPD methods
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization

 

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base salary of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Location

This role is based in Michigan, USA, with occasional travel required to visit customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
