Azure Database Services are the cornerstone of many large customers' data landscapes. In this role, you'll help customers drive vital data projects and collaborate with Microsoft teams to assist in these opportunities. You will also contribute to the development cycle by sharing learnings and observations gathered in complex engagements back to our product teams.
About UsThe Azure Databases SQL Customer Success Engineering team is highly collaborative, data-oriented, and values diversity of thought and ideas. We have a proven track record of delivering deep technical engagements with customers, helping them migrate from RDBMS environments like SQL Server, db2, Sybase, and Oracle to Azure SQL or PostgreSQL.
Our team consists of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We maintain and grow that diversity, ensuring we can understand our customers' requirements better.
Responsibilities- Promote yourself as a leading expert in SQL Server and Azure SQL through engaging PoCs, pilots, and complex projects, driving performance tuning, and optimization for acute troubleshooting scenarios.
- Work closely with solution architects to mentor and evangelize Azure Data services, engaging in modernization projects requiring engineering assistance.
- Collaborate with feature PMs and Software Engineers to improve products and services by suggesting improvements and driving changes when needed.
- Document and share learnings, technical best practices, and insights within engineering and the wider architect community.
- Advise on best practice architectures for data solutions and execute quick feasibility proposals for moving identified workloads to Azure Data Platform.
- Ensure security is front and center in architecture proposals and custom developed IPs and solutions.
