Your Role

">

As a senior backend engineer, you will work on a small team, collaborating with stakeholders to develop software products that meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise in backend programming languages will be essential in designing and implementing scalable and efficient systems.

Your Responsibilities

">

Develop next-generation web applications, focusing on server-side development;
Collaborate in a smart environment where new ideas are always welcome;
Brainstorm initial ideas and carry them through to concept development;
Discuss ideas with both team and/or clients to create the best possible solutions;
Work within a well-opinionated technology stack, with developer tools and methodologies that our team is constantly trying to improve;
Help in the creation of in-house patterns;
Work in a variety of different business areas;
Help other teammates excel;
Lead backend initiatives.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

">
  • ]
  • A BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Relevant full-time experience in software engineering and programming, at least 5 years of experience;
  • A strong understanding of relational (preferably PostgreSQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g. Redis);
  • A strong experience with backend programming languages;
  • Experience in developing APIs;
  • Comfort in being outside your comfort zone;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Good English skills, written and spoken;
  • Craftsmanship to create clean, maintainable code;
  • Comfort with version control systems (we use Git);
  • Knowledge of standard development pipelines, including build and other automation tools;
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD.

  • The integration of APIs from other service providers;
  • Original ideas, which you should never be afraid to voice;
  • The ability to research and figure things out independently;
  • The ability to debug scripting languages easily;
  • Knowledge of Node.js and Javascript/Typescript;
  • Knowledge of dependency managers like npm or yarn;
  • Building and running Docker containers.
