Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to explore the functional impact of pulmonary circadian neuro/endocrine circuits in ILC2 responses in health and disease.
As a Research Fellow, you will work closely with an experienced Postdoc and under the supervision of the project’s Principal Investigator to achieve this goal.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with genetically modified mouse models
- Providing technical assistance with the characterization and purification of immune and stroma cell populations, using flow cytometry and transcriptomic analysis
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of circadian regulation.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Master in Biochemistry
- Expertise in flow cytometry, cellular and molecular biology, cell transplantation, and confocal microscopy analysis
- Experience with genetically modified mouse models
- Expertise in Circadian regulation
We also welcome candidates with desirable skills, including fluency in English, experience with programming (knowledge of R language), and experience with Cosinor and MetaCycle analysis.
BenefitsThe fellowship offers a competitive salary of 1064 Euros per month, as determined by FCT, I.P. Scientific Fellowships regulations for Portugal.
In addition to the salary, the fellowship includes personal accident insurance and, if not covered by any social protection scheme, the right to social security through adherence to the voluntary social insurance scheme.
Other OpportunitiesThe position is expected to start on or after 01/01/2024, in exclusiveness regime, as regulated by Lei n.o 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto, FCT (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica) and FCT Research Fellowship Regulations, as well as the Fellowship Regulations of the Champalimaud Foundation.
