The role of a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at Canonical requires expertise in developing trust with customers and providing them with the best possible experience navigating our vast offering. By understanding their objectives, you can align expectations, suggest additional services or product capacity to increase loyalty, alleviate pain points, and help draw and deliver on a collaboration roadmap.
We are growing our Customer Success team to offer thoughtful interactions across our product portfolio, from Ubuntu to open-source infrastructure and applications. As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be specialized in one of the following segments: Mass - SMEs or large businesses starting their journey with Canonical; Focus - Large companies with established Annual Recurring Revenue; Step Growth - high-potential customers. You will contribute to business support at the company level for remaining customers (Tech segment), including our Store customers.
This role is based remotely in the APAC region. Your day will involve onboard new customers, introducing them to our products and support processes. Products include: Ubuntu Pro, MAAS, Landscape, Openstack, Ceph, Kubernetes, data applications, and more. You will coordinate complex projects with developers, IT managers, and decision makers from various industries. You will collaborate with Sales, Field Engineering, and Support in developing engagement plans that fulfill customer objectives.
You will manage a portfolio of customers in a specific geographic region and identify growth opportunities or renewal risks in coordination with Sales. Experience running a disciplined weekly review process with cross-functional teams is essential. You will serve as a customer advocate internally and influence Canonical products roadmaps, websites, documentation, processes, and people to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you should have minimum 5 years of work experience with strong relation to IT and exposure to projects related to Linux OS, data applications, storage, cloud computing, networking, security, migration, IoT. Excellent presentation skills and ability to guide conversations about complex software are required. You should also have experience building internal processes while maintaining timely delivery to customer-related projects.
A true team player capable of interacting with all departments and levels both internally and externally is necessary. Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus. Experience with Salesforce, Jira, and CRMs is beneficial. We appreciate various languages, so if you possess proficiency in Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or Italian alongside excellent English command, please inform us.
This role offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person. A personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year is provided. Annual compensation review and recognition rewards are also part of the package. Maternity and paternity leave, Employee Assistance Programme, and priority pass for travel and upgrades for long haul company events are included.
