As a Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Management Specialist at Airbus' GBS unit, you will be part of a dynamic team driving innovation and excellence in aerospace manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be to support the local APQP Champion at plant location with APQP activities for development and industrialization projects. Additionally, you will assist specific assessments for EN-9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Key Business deliverables (KBDs). Other key tasks include:
- Improving manufacturing engineering processes and methods
- Developing and implementing product quality and continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing engineering areas
- Carrying out and supporting industrial quality reviews in development projects
- Ensuring uniform application of guidelines, standards, and norms during the development process in all plants
- Guiding improvement processes from internal, external, and customer complaints
- Applying quality management methods, including PPS, 9S, FMEA, Six-Sigma, Pareto, Five-Why, Ishikawa, and Benchmarking
- Moderating lessons learned workshops
- Ensuring consistent application of guidelines, standards, procedures, and norms
- Ensuring business requirements and process maturity criteria within the DOA/POA processes and methods
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and/or quality management. You should be able to demonstrate analytical and systematic thinking, agile and reliable data management, high resilience, and assertiveness. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, along with an accurate work ethic, are also essential. Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in German is desirable. Experience with MS Office and G Suite is also necessary. Finally, you should be willing to travel.
