Job Title: Lead Level Designer & Franchise Game World CreatorSalary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and talented Lead Level Designer to join our team at Ubisoft Ukraine. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for creating immersive and captivating game worlds that millions of players will explore.
In this role, you will oversee the design of all levels and mission content, ensuring that the gameplay reflects the vision of the game and makes its mechanics shine. You will also be instrumental in shaping the creative direction of the franchise and contributing to the expansion of Assassin's Creed in Ukraine.
The position requires great leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team. You will manage and mentor a team of level designers, develop missions and levels according to the global vision of the game, and analyze the needs of the level design team.
You will also be involved in suggesting creative new ideas and concepts, assisting the game design team in the development and evolution of the game content, and regularly committing to deadlines in line with the project's production roadmap.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in level design, experience in a managing or lead position within the industry, and the ability to design creative and interesting game levels using 3D tools such as Unreal Editor, Unity Engine, Maya, Max, or Blender.
You should also have experience in using scripting tools or languages to create game mechanics, the ability to conceptualize levels and mechanics that will satisfy the player, and strong knowledge of game design systems and level design elements and how they correlate.
Furthermore, you should have knowledge of how players react to level and game design elements and the ability to adapt them effectively according to the game's needs, solid knowledge of the game production pipeline, and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently within a large group project environment.
