Retrofit Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

The Retrofit Specialist will be responsible for initiating, preparing, launching, and monitoring retrofit solutions in accordance with program/customer targets (time, cost, and quality). This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong team spirit, and the ability to communicate and work fully remotely with team members based on different locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training, and team support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, prepare, launch, and monitor retrofit solutions in accordance with program/customer targets (time, cost, and quality).
  • Understand the technical solution and lead the deployment on behalf of Customer Services Program.
  • Contribute to and challenge program retrofit and mitigation strategy and support the development of technical solutions.
  • Translate program and retrofit requirements (target cost per aircraft, embodiment rate, policy, etc.) into inputs to other departments, including the Supply Chain Manager Retrofit.
  • Provide all required inputs to the Supply Chain Manager Retrofit to enable supply chain industrialization of retrofit with kits or complex retrofits.
  • Contribute to negotiations for supplier capacity and cost alignment with PMR/PCR/PES, material reservation, and missing parts management.
  • Define and steer all inputs from engineering, procurement, suppliers, supply chain, program to ensure global retrofit strategy in accordance with retrofit objectives (time, cost, quality) and the retrofit embodiment until final fleet completion.
  • Drumbeat the internal organization to ensure contractual commitments, customer satisfaction, cost, and revenue targets.

  • Team management experience.
  • Experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training, and team support.
  • Good communication skills, rigor, conscientious.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, build strong cross-functional relationships, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Problem Solving mindset / Dynamic / Proactive.
  • Excel & Google Suite tools knowledge.
  • Languages: English - capacity to interact daily with native English speakers.
