The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in taxation and accountancy, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory obligations;
- Provide expert advice on tax laws and financial regulations to the General Manager and Controller;
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations;
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to prevent errors or fraud;
- Manage and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
- Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and trial balances;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including SNC and IFRS standards;
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and financial regulations, and advise the management accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Economics, Management, Accounting or related areas;
- Accountant enrolled in Certified Accountants Association;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software;
- Fluent in English and good knowledge of Portuguese language;
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
