We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at TN Portugal in Lisbon. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a vital role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory to support our industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery to negotiate contracts and terms;
- Manage shipment processes and logistics, including international Incoterms and customs compliance;
- Monitor and audit inventory levels to ensure timely availability and resolve inventory discrepancies;
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve issues promptly;
- Evaluate supplier performance for improvement;
- Create and process purchase orders;
- Track orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery and address order discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods;
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies;
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in industrial or mechanical engineering (plus);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably in an industrial setting;
- Knowledge of market trends and supply chain principles;
- Experience with customs documentation, international trade regulations, and understanding of Incoterms;
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Experience with SAP (plus);
- Proficient in Portuguese and English;
- Strong negotiation and communication skills;
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Collaborative mindset and team player.
