Job Description

In a world of endless possibilities, Parsons Oman is seeking an exceptionally talented Security Technician to join our team in Faro. As a member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in providing security services to the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring the security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Oversee all security and surveillance issues, answering alarms and investigating disturbances.
  • Create and provide daily and monthly reports, monitoring and tracking incoming and outgoing employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Respond to emergencies by calling police or fire departments as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained in accordance with laws regarding first aid.
  • Perform labour duties as required, including site and office maintenance.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, direct inquiries, and greet personnel entering the facility in a courteous manner.
  • Complete other tasks related to general reception, such as basic housekeeping of the Security Building workspace and restocking the kitchen area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • The ability to effectively follow and give directions.
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in various elemental conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Estimated Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
