At IT Service Management Company (Contractor), we're seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to join our internal team in Lisbon.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability. Key responsibilities include:
- Database Migration: Performing database migration to new versions of SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime.
- Problem Analysis: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to database performance, availability, and integrity.
- Performance Optimization (Tuning): Implementing performance optimization techniques, including analyzing SQL queries, tuning indexes, and configuring the environment to maximize performance.
- Proactive Monitoring and Maintenance: Performing continuous monitoring of the SQL Server environment, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they affect customers' systems.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in SQL Server technologies (5 years of experience)
- Solid experience in the administration of SQL Server databases, including recent versions and new features
- Knowledge in Data Migration, Tuning and Performance Skills, and Proficiency in T-SQL
- Experience with Always On and Problem Solving, with the ability to identify and anticipate problems and opportunities for improvement

- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams and document processes clearly and accurately
- Knowledge of Monitoring Tools: Experience with Database monitoring and management tools, Tunnig Adviser, Query Store, Profiler, and third-party tools
Requirements:
