The Risk & Compliance team operates as the second line of defense, working alongside our business units to develop and execute Lumonpay's Financial Crime Framework. With the financial services industry undergoing significant regulatory change, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

  • Policy Development and Maintenance:
    • - Develop, implement, and maintain local policies and framework documents, including financial crime controls and systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • - Ensure ongoing compliance with local regulatory and reporting requirements, including those set by local authorities.
    • - Manage the suspicious activity reporting process, both internally and externally.
  • Assurance and Training:
    • - Conduct second-line assurance activities across financial crime controls and systems.
    • - Provide training to staff on financial crime policies and procedures, ensuring they understand their AML responsibilities.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • - Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to handle enquiries.
    • - Work closely with senior stakeholders, providing regular management information (MI).

About You:
We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • - Proven experience in financial crime and regulatory compliance within payment services or financial services.
    • - Strong understanding of local regulatory environments and key financial crime regimes, including reporting requirements.
    • - Previous interaction with local regulators or other central banks.

    • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, regulators, and external parties.
    • - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
    • - Keen attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills.
    • - Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
